REFEREE
Comment on the Referee Performance
To take into account: 1. Application and Interpretation of the Laws of the Game, Disciplinary Control and (technical) Management of the game. - 2. Physical Condition (Adequate positioning, adequate movement, Anticipation of situations and awareness and Physical Condition in general) - 3. Personality and Tactical approach- 4. Group Work

Rizzoli exactly knew what was very important in a match of two different football cultures - it was a brilliant reading of the game, perfect control and patient approach to both teams. Calm talkings with players indicated his great natural authority and were just needed to explanate: Scottish players - why he use his whistle, Portuguese players - why didn't he use his whistle. There was one very difficult to solve situation in the Celtic box when Forster in his intervention was hitted by the ball and make his opponent fall. 50/50 situation and Rizzoli can say Forster touched the ball as first (32'). In addition to this, he correctly didn't award a penalty to Celtic after Forrest's dive in duel with Malgarejo - there was a minimal contact, so a lack of yellow card is acceptable call (82'). Rizzoli had also a great feeling in card management. He didn't want to destroy a match not showing second yellow card to Wanyama although he could have to do that (48'). Whole performance was crowned by fantastic style including perfect positioning, gestures and fitness.

Only one offside situation correctly solved by rising his flag. Furthermore, unemployed but always in alert and brilliantly positioned. Visible top-class.

To take into account: 1. Physical and technical (Adequate position and movement Alertness and reaction to situations in front of his vicinity area) 2. Application and Interpretation of the laws of the game

He wrongly awarded a corner kick to Celtic. However, very important help in box-situation with Forrest's dive.
